Carney Fabricating and Carney Battery Handling Ltd, a global leader in innovation, design, and manufacturing of complete battery room solutions and material handling equipment, is pleased to welcome and announce the appointment of Bill Hallett as Director of Sales & Dealer Development. Reporting to Darren Osborn (President), Bill will be responsible for sales and dealer network development for Carney Fabricating.
Bill has over 23 years of experience in sales for the manufacturing of overhead cranes and crane services, wire rope/chain/air/food-grade/theatrical hoists, rigging products and below-the-hook lifting devices. He has worked for various manufacturers including Kito Canada, Peerless Chain/Custom Lifting, Unirope and Konecranes Canada. Bill’s most recent expertise includes sales and product management of hoists and hoist services, work station crane systems, custom below-the-hook devices, lifting magnets, automatic hooks, clamps and many other rigging related products.
Bill has also been a dealer of many other brands of related products to material handling including: Stahl, Demag, R&M, Columbus McKinnon, Magna Lifting, Elebia, Caldwell, Thiele, RUD, PEWAG, Terrier, Industrial Magnetics, DLM and Crosby- Straightpoint.
Bill is very experienced in solving simple to complex overhead crane, hoist and custom lifting applications in many different industries including elevators, transportation, construction, power generation, aerospace, automotive and rail. He has always believed in providing the right product solution for the right application. From his background in crane and hoist maintenance services, he believes in both increasing safety and saving clients money on maintaining their lifting equipment.
Bill was a former Varsity Football Vanier Cup Champion with Wilfrid Laurier University and a graduate of Business Administration and Sales with Sheridan College, Oakville. In addition to spending leisure time with his wife and daughter, Bill enjoys a variety of sports including hockey, golf, mountain biking and other outdoor related activities like boating and fishing.
